TorqueMind AI has launched Toolpath Copilot, an AI-based add-on designed to plug into existing CAM software rather than replace it, aimed specifically at small and mid-sized Indian CNC job shops.

The company says the tool learns from a shop's own historical programs and machine data, rather than a generic training set, and is pitching this as the reason it performs better on repeat-feature work than general-purpose AI CAM tools trained on public part libraries.

“Most AI CAM tools are trained on parts nobody in India actually machines. We trained ours on the parts sitting in front of real job shops in Pune and Rajkot,” said TorqueMind AI's co-founder.

Pricing and availability

Toolpath Copilot is priced per seat with a usage-based tier for shops running fewer than 20 machines, undercutting the enterprise pricing of larger international CAM AI add-ons. The company says early access begins this quarter for shops in Maharashtra and Gujarat, with a wider India rollout planned for early 2027.
